HCCMC Welcomes Watkins Mill High School Students to the Colores Art Exhibit
One of the most rewarding moments of this year’s Colores Art Exhibit was welcoming a group of students from Watkins Mill High School on October 7th for a special guided visit and artist meet-and-greet.
For the first time, HCCMC invited high school students to experience the exhibit, learn directly from the talented artists, and explore how art can tell stories, celebrate culture, and inspire community. The students were highly engaged throughout the visit, asking thoughtful questions and gaining a deeper appreciation for the creative process behind each piece.
This new initiative reflects HCCMC’s commitment to connecting young people with meaningful cultural and educational experiences while fostering the next generation of creative and community leaders.
We are grateful to the artists for generously sharing their time and experiences, and to the students and educators from Watkins Mill High School for making this inaugural visit such a memorable success.
