HCCMC Celebrates Excellence at the 2025 Hispanic Leadership Awards Gala
On October 16, 2025, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Montgomery County (HCCMC) welcomed business leaders, elected officials, entrepreneurs, and community partners to the 2025 Hispanic Leadership Awards Gala at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda. The annual event celebrates individuals whose leadership and service have strengthened our business community and enriched Montgomery County.
This year’s honorees were:
Hispanic Educator of the Year: Alicia Morales Deeny, Principal, Richard Montgomery High School
Hispanic Leader in Public Service of the Year: Nelson Ortiz-Cruz, Master Firefighter, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service
Hispanic Leader in Government of the Year: Luisa Fernanda Cardona Vence, Assistant Chief Administrative Officer, Montgomery County Government
Hispanic Community Leader of the Year: Sergio Polanco, State Public Engagement Officer for New American Communities, Office of the Comptroller of Maryland
Hispanic Small Business of the Year: Jorge & Michelle Gutierrez, Co-Owners, SERVPRO Team Gutierrez
Hispanic Entrepreneur of the Year: Juvenal Hernandez, Founder & CEO, RockSolid General Contractor, Inc.
