A Conversation With Candidate to County Council Brian Anleu

On Wednesday, April 6th, we hosted a live conversation with Brian Anleu, candidate to County Council.
 
Brian Anleu is a lifelong East County resident and career public servant. He is the son of immigrant parents from Guatemala and El Salvador who came to the DC region in the 1960s and 70s. 
 
Brian grew up with his parents and Abuelain the Hillandale neighborhood of Silver Spring where he graduated from Springbrook High School and the University of Maryland. Brian began his career in public service as an aid in the Maryland General Assembly followed by a stint as a healthcare navigator for the Obamacare implementation. As a healthcare navigator, he helped many Latino residents get enrolled in healthcare plans in both Montgomery and Prince George’s County. 
 
Most recently, Brian served as chief of staff to the Montgomery County Planning Board. Brian is running to deliver much needed resources and economic development to District 5. If elected, Brian would be the first councilmember of Central American descent and the youngest member of the Council.
