Dr. Mauricio Vásquez is the Executive Director of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Montgomery County (HCCMC), where he provides strategic leadership to advance the Chamber’s mission of empowering minority and Hispanic-owned businesses and strengthening the region’s economic vitality. He oversees the organization’s vision, operations, advocacy initiatives, strategic partnerships, and signature programs, working collaboratively with business leaders, elected officials, community organizations, and corporate partners to expand opportunities for entrepreneurs across Montgomery County and the greater Washington metropolitan region.
Dr. Vásquez has built a career at the intersection of business strategy, technology, organizational leadership, and economic development. Prior to becoming Executive Director, he served as HCCMC’s Director of Programs, where he led the growth of high-impact initiatives that increased business engagement, expanded access to procurement and capital resources, and strengthened the Chamber’s role as a catalyst for small business success. His professional background also includes leadership roles in technology consulting and innovation, where he directed projects for public and private sector clients, combining strategic planning with operational excellence to deliver measurable results.
Dr. Vásquez holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM). He is recognized for building cross-sector partnerships, fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders, and leading organizations through growth and transformation. Under his leadership, HCCMC continues to expand its influence as the premier advocate and resource for Hispanic businesses in Montgomery County, championing initiatives that promote latino culture, entrepreneurship, workforce development, innovation, and long-term economic prosperity for the communities it serves.
