Día de los Muertos Celebration at BlackRock Center for the Arts
On Friday, November 1st, 2024, HCCMC was honored to have been part of BlackRock Center for the Arts’ vibrant El Día de los Muertos celebration! Dr. Mauricio Vásquez, Executive Director of the HCCMC, served as Emcee and panel moderator for the evening.
This celebration was filled with delicious Latin-inspired dishes from Señor Tequila’s, Tortacos, Rio Grande Bar & Grill, El Gavilán Restaurant, and Twin Valley Distiller’s delicious liquors.
Highlights of the evening included a screening of the award-winning film Sé el Cambio by David del Pozo, followed by a lively panel discussion with members of the Latino Health Initiative; dance instruction led by Angela Gonzales, and a festive ambiance that beautifully captured the spirit of this celebration of life and culture of El Día de los Muertos.
